Love One Another

When he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him. If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself and will glorify him at once. Little children, I am with you only a little longer. You will look for me; and as I said to the Jews so now I say to you, 'Where I am going, you cannot come.' I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

Every morning when you wake up,

decide to live the life God has given you to live right now.

Refuse to live yesterday over and over again.

Resist the temptation to save your

best self for tomorrow.

I can see how it might be possible for a man

to look down upon the earth

and be an atheist,

but I cannot conceive how

he could look up into the heavens

and say there is no God.

~ Abraham Lincoln

To live in this world

you must be able

to do three things:

to love what is mortal;

to hold it

against your bones knowing

your own life depends on it

and, when the time comes to let it go,

to let it go.*

~ Mary Oliver
