The true perfection of man lies,
not in what man has,
but in what man is....
Nothing should be able to harm a man
but himself....
What is outside of him should
be a matter of no importance.
In the long run,
the sharpest weapon of all
is a kind and gentle spirit.
I do not feel obliged to believe
that the same God who
has endowed us with sense,
reason, and intellect
has intended us to forgo their use.
