Throw your dreams into space like a kite and
you do not know what it will bring back,
a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country.

If what I say resonates with you,
it's because we are both branches on the same tree.

As we become purer channels for God's light,
we develop an appetite for the sweetness
that is possible in this world.
A miracle worker is not geared toward
fighting the world that is,
but toward creating the world that could be.

*Philip was prompted to go on the road to Gaza and it was in this unlikely place that he was led by the spirit to approach the Ethiopian’s carriage.  Do we pay attention to the times when we are led down unusual roads and are we open to the spirit’s prompting to draw alongside folk? Often it is as we draw alongside people we find them seeking and asking questions as the Ethiopian did. The encounter led to commitment on the part of the Ethiopian and both went on their separate ways.  How much opportunity do we make of the brief encounters along the way as we reach out to people on the margins, in industry or the shopping mall, amongst Asylum seekers, or those we encounter in our daily lives?    (Reflections of the Spirit)
