33But turning and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, "Get behind me, Satan!
For you are setting your mind not on divine things but on human things."

7:30 a.m.
That morning I walked around the lake alone and I suddenly heard in the distance the skirling
of bagpipes!  As the mist rose from the valley to dissipate where the sun struck the
upper reaches, a lone piper walked down the pathway in full regalia!
How eerily and enchantingly the sound echoed in the silence.

After breakfast at Echo Lake Lodge,
two of us took a last trip for the season
up Mt. Evans Road.
This Bighorn ewe walked up to the side of
the road to greet us!  I had never seen one so
close before!!!

On Friday morning several of us made glass pieces that will be fused in the kiln
and then cut to be made into pieces for jewelry which will be sold to benefit
Friendship Bridge (mini-credit loans for Guatemalan women).
We tried to incorporate colors and patterns used in Guatemalan crafts.

Peggy is holding the piece she made (on the right) and my piece (on our left).

32 ... And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. ...
36 "For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life? 37Indeed, what can they give in return for their life? 38Those who are ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of them the Son of Man will also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
