Epiphany, The Flight into Egypt,
and Baptism of the Lord

1In the time of King Herod, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2asking, "Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews? For we observed his star at its rising, and have come to pay him homage."

13 ... an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him." 14So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt ...

16John answered all of them by saying, "I baptize you with water; but one who is more powerful than I is coming; I am not worthy to untie the thong of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

It is better to follow even the shadow of the best,
than to remain content with the worst,
and those who would see wonderful things
must often be ready to travel alone.

Sylvia has a huge snow bank outside her window at Life Care where it has cascaded down from the roof and knocked down her bell seed cone which is now wedged between the snow bank and the window.  As we were speaking, a bunny decided to sample the bird seed!  Sylvia now plans to do an article for The Canyon Courier on bunnies!

Someone told me this has to be the bunny who escaped
from the tail of a Frontier airplane!

As I was taking pictures of the bunny, I realized that Sylvia's reflection
was showing along side the bunny and I leaned over to get them separated.
Can you see her in the lower right part of the picture?

(Thank you, Baby Brother!)

When the star in the sky is gone,
