Commitment
11As they continued walking and talking, a
chariot of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them, and Elijah
ascended in a whirlwind into heaven. 12Elisha kept
watching and crying out, "Father, father! The chariots of Israel and its
horsemen!"

At another party for Gail
and Bill Frasier on Sunday, the meadow was alive
with female elk.
Occasionally, one would lift her head to peer above
the grass. They
should be having their babies soon!
Gail with Bill
Brockner. Can you see three elk in the background?
Suzie, our hostess, and
Gail.
One final farewell to

Our big Changing of the
Guard Rotary party at the Lakehouse
on Thursday evening.
Yum.
We had a beautiful evening
for it!
One of the awards given out
was to Mt. Evans Hospice.
Some of us toured the
Evergreen art galleries Friday evening during Final
Fridays.
We couldn't help but spot
this homemade chariot ... a dragon motorcycle spewing
fire.
What fun! Do you see
the spare set of eyeballs in his lower teeth?
We also saw lots of antique
cars on display.
The difference
between involvement and commitment
is like ham and
eggs.
The chicken is
involved; the pig is committed.

51When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his
face to go to Jerusalem. 52And he sent messengers
ahead of him. On their way they entered a village of the Samaritans to make
ready for him; 53but they did not receive him, because
his face was set toward Jerusalem. 54When his
disciples James and John saw it, they said, "Lord, do you want us to command
fire to come down from heaven and consume them?" 55But
he turned and rebuked them.
