Temptation
Hungering and
Thirsting for God
10Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! for it is
written, 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.'"
11Then the devil left him, and suddenly angels came
and waited on him.

Only in quiet waters
do things mirror themselves undistorted.
Only in a
quiet mind is adequate perception of the world.

friend, Merrice.
We went to
visit Merrice in her home last Sunday afternoon.
Part of our Wednesday
Breakfast Group
We had our Conservation
Council (Denver Art Museum) party at Sidney's home.
Sidney was just selected to
receive the Cele Bach award at the Denver Art Museum!!!
Each year, two or
three people (out of 700 volunteers) are selected to receive the
award.
In part, it is to honor her
50 years of volunteer service at the DAM!!!
Wow!!!
Carl, the Conservator,
found this old picture of Sidney in the archives.
She is modeling a dress
from the museum's collection, something
that would definitely
not be done in today's museum!!!
Sidney fifty years
ago!
(She is standing next to an
urn that I used to use in the
Flower Council for
flower arrangements.)
I had never seen Sidney's
paintings before.
She sells a lot of
them.
Two glass bowls I made that
are fresh out of the kiln.
Vicki and I are going to
have red lentil soup in them
after church.
Calvin: Do
you believe in the devil?
You
know, a supreme evil being dedicated to the
temptation, corruption, and destruction of man?
Hobbes: I'm
not sure that man needs the
help.
