and he stood

When you work you are a flute through whose heart
the
whispering of the hours turns to music.
Which of you would be a reed, dumb and silent,
when all else sings together in unison?

Five of us (from Painted
Toes) went to an alpaca farm
to paint on Friday ...
but we had too much fun playing and didn't paint!
All twenty-five alpacas had
been shorn last weekend
except for their topnots,
leggings, and tails.
These are the "working
boys."
Here are some of the
females drinking water that Hugh is putting in the
fountain.
Most are expecting
babies. The little baby on the lower left is only three
days old!
There she
is!
Tina Nocturna even took a
peppermint treat from my mouth.
(We almost dropped
it.)
We celebrated Carolyn M.'s
birthday.
