Courage and
Faith
(Joseph and
Peter)
23So when Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped him of
his robe, the long robe with sleeves that he wore;
24and they took him and threw him into a
pit.

And the day came
when the risk it took
to remain tight
inside the bud
was more painful
than
the risk it took to

Friday evening's gully
washer was spectacular!
All the ground was white
from the hail but, by the time I could safely
go outside
to take a
picture, most of it had melted.
Suddenly, a mist arose as
the moisture from the hailstones met the warmer
air ...
... and slowly crept across
the fairway.
Spectacular!!!

* Uh-oh!
25And early in the morning he came walking toward them on
the sea. 26But when the disciples saw him walking on
the sea, they were terrified, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out in
fear. 27But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said,
"Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid."
28Peter answered him, "Lord, if it is
you, command me to come to you on the water." 29He
said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat, started walking on the water, and
came toward Jesus. 30But when he noticed the strong
wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save
me!"

Of course Peter, the
Rock, doesn't float!!!
"Now I’ll give
you something to believe," [the White Queen remarked]. "I’m just one hundred
and one, five months and a day."
"I can’t believe
that!" said Alice.
"Can’t you?" the
Queen said in a pitying tone. "Try again, draw a long breath and shut your
eyes."
Alice laughed.
"There’s no use trying," she said, "one can’t believe impossible things."
"I daresay you
haven’t had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always
did it for half-an-hour a day. Why sometimes I’ve believed as many as six
impossible things before breakfast."
