Peace
Make Ready
Preparing the Way

In the fifteenth year of the reign of Emperor Tiberius, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was ruler of Galilee, and his brother Philip ruler of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias ruler of Abilene, during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness. He went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah,
  “The voice of one crying out in
       the wilderness:
  ‘Prepare the way of the Lord,
       make his paths straight.
  Every valley shall be filled,
       and every mountain and hill
           shall be made low,
  and the crooked shall be made straight,
       and the rough ways made smooth;
  and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’”
Luke 3:1-6

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows,
it empties today of its strength.

 There can be no vulnerability without risk;
there can be no community without vulnerability;
there can be no peace, and ultimately no life, without community.

Uninvited Visitors Monday Night!!!
(I did not feel peaceful!)

My overly friendly elk were not welcome!!!  I heard strange noises and, when I turned on the porch light, four elk were on my patio; two of them on the upper patio annihilating my bird feeder!!!  I wasn't able to faze them in the least by tapping on the window.  I do not care to have them THAT close!  I have never seen elk on my upper patio before!

No, no, no!

BIG bodies!!!
Thank goodness they were females and not males.
Females weigh "only" 600 to 800 pounds!

They finally left and casually walked down the three steps!

Namaste.
I honour the place in you where the entire universe resides...
a place of light, of love, of truth, of peace, of wisdom.
I honour the place in you where when you are in that place
and I am in that place
there is only one of us.
