For me, the difference between thanksgiving and thanks-living is between
giving thanks on one day
and living thanks always.
Thanksgiving is a terminal event.
Thanks living is a way of life.
~ Richard J. Fairchild
Gratitude is a quality similar to electricity:
it must be produced and discharged and used up in order to exist at all.
~ William Faulkner
Nancy, Bambi, Emily
Emily was our hostess for Book Club this week.
Our speaker at Rotary this week was the new National Deputy Director of the Peace Corps, Carrie Hessler-Radelet.
Mike Moore and Gretchen Berggren
Carrie, our speaker, surprised us all by
announcing that Gretchen had been one of her former professors at Harvard and
wondered if we all realized what an icon Gretchen still is in the medical and
health field!
(Yes! We do!!!)
Our Dine-Around tonight was at Eric’s and
Casey’s home.
Casey is our youngest Rotary member.

If it is unexpressed, it is plain, old-fashioned ingratitude.
