Gratitude
Do we really "see" each other?
On the way to Jerusalem Jesus was going through the region between Samaria and Galilee. As he entered a village, ten lepers approached him. Keeping their distance, they called out, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" When he saw them, he said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were made clean. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He prostrated himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus asked, "Were not ten made clean? But the other nine, where are they? Was none of them found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" Then he said to him, "Get up and go on your way; your faith has made you well."

I would maintain that thanks are the highest
form of thought,
and that gratitude is happiness doubled by
wonder.

from the window at our Wednesday Breakfast on May
12, 2013.
The
grass on the little island still had its winter brown and later
turned
a lovely green for all the critters to munch.
View
from the same window on October 9, 2013,
after
the flood waters swamped the area.
You
can see how the horrendous flooding swept away the topsoil and deposited more
rocks.
The
waters have greatly subsided now, but are still very high for this time of
year.
Amazing!!!

In case you failed to notice, in case you failed to see,
this is my heart, bleeding before you,
this is me down on my knees.
