Baptism of the Lord
Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan, to be baptized by him. John
would have prevented him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do
you come to me?" But Jesus answered him, "Let it be so now; for it is
proper for us in this way to fulfill all righteousness." Then he
consented. And when Jesus had been baptized, just as he came up from the water,
suddenly the heavens were opened to him and he saw the Spirit of God descending
like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is
my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased."

Our
Rotary Club had an interesting tour of St. Anthony Hospital and OrthoColorado
Hospital in Lakewood.
It
opened in 2011 and is a state-of-the-art medical campus.
We
went out on the helipad and also used the
fastest
elevator in Denver.

I
was fascinated by these tracks in the snow across the lake.
Some
critter made them a while back and, when some of the snow melted,
the
compressed snow made by the tracks remained as little
mounds
above the rest of the snow.
Cool.
The Work of Christmas Begins
by Howard Thurman
When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock,
The Work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among brothers and sisters,
To make music in the heart.
